The family of late legal luminary Chief Gani Fawehinmi, has turned down the centenary award to be bestowed on their father on Friday by President Goodluck Jonathan.

Nigeria Football Federation unveils World Cup jersey for Brazil 2014

The Nigerian Football Federation today February 27th unveiled a brand new jersey our national team would use during the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. The jersey, which is lemon green, will be officially launched on March 5th when the Super Eagles meet Mexico in a pre-world cup friendly which will take place in Atlanta, Georgia.
According to the Head Marketing of the NFF, Adama Idris, the jersey was designed to suit the weather condition in Brazil. See more photos below.....

A Ghanaian comedian and another foreigner, have been allegedly caught with cocaine by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). While the 54-year-old comedian, Musah Iddrisu, was allegedly arrested at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport (AIIA), Enugu, Enugu State capital, with 1.500kilogrammes of heroin, the other suspect, Ihana Cedrick from Democratic Republic of Congo, was “caught” with 450 grammes of cocaine.

The minister was reacting to an article by Mr. Sonala Olumhense who claimed that $2.5 billion was recovered from the funds looted by the then maximum ruler, Gen. Sani Abacha but that the money disappeared under the minister’s watch.

The ongoing legal battle between Chocolate City and Brymo is set to continue as the case has been adjourned to a later date. At a sitting yesterday at the Federal High Court in Lagos, the presiding judge, Justice Buba I.N was forced to adjourn the hearing after counsels from both parties clashed in the courtroom. The session started by 11:14 a.m and ended by 1:00 p.m.
