Man Absconded After Killing His Wife And Cutting Off Neighbour's Hand In The Process In Abuja

 A middle-aged man and father of four has absconded after he allegedly murdered his wife at Karmo, a suburb of Abuja yesterday morning and also cutting off a neighbour's hand who tried to prevent him from killing his wife.

According to one of the neighbor's of the deceased, one Mallam Ahmed, the couple had been having problems in their marriage before the incident and the deceased had moved out of her matrimonial home with her children some years back, single handedly t
raining them with the money she makes from her shop. The man apparently not happy with the deceased's progress had been threatening her to vacate the shop which was located in front of the house she used to share with her husband but she was adamant.

On that fateful day, the man came and asked her to leave his compound but she refused to respond. When she ignored him, he went into the house, got a cutlass and chased her. She ran into a neighbour’s shop, who used his hand to prevent the man from hitting the wife but he cut off the neighbour's hand before descending on his wife and cutting her neck.

Confirming the incident, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent Hyelhira Altine Daniel, said when the police got to the scene, the man was nowhere to be found.

The woman was rushed to the hospital where she was confirmed dead.

Daniel said the police will not rest until he is apprehended and advised couples to walk out of a relationship happily instead of killing their mates.
