Rival Cults @ War, Kill 4 in Anambra

Not less than four persons have been killed in Idemili, Anambra state as two cult groups engaged each other in fierce battle.  What started as a cold war between the two unidentified cult groups came to the open at the weekend, when two persons suspected to be members of the opposing cult group were allegedly gunned down by their rivals at Ozuda market.

It was said that during the clash, dangerous weapons including sophisticated weapons like fire arms were freely used by the suspected cultists which left no fewer than four persons dead and scores injured.
Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Emeka Chukwuemeka said only two persons were killed during the cult war, it was also gathered that the main cause of the war was power play over who controls the revenue from the sale of communal lands by the warring factions in Obosi.
