A renowned human rights lawyer and activist Japhet Omojunwua
is free. The other members of the Nigerian Patriot group were released
from the SSS HQ in Abuja as well in the evening of April 2, 2014,
Wednesday.
Omojunwua,
Uche Briggs and Azeenarh were pushed and dragged to the security
agents’ waiting Hilux Patrol Van as they have been participating in a
peaceful protest over the killings of several applicants during the
bloody recruitment exercise of the Nigeria Immigration Service. It would be added that the Nigerian Patriot members were set to deliver a coffin to the Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, as part of the protest, and as a symbol to register their grievances over the untimely death of the applicants across the country.
