Abubakar Sadik, Divisional Police Officer of the Police Station, Corporals Imamu Ijinyawa, Yakubu Azi and Idi Harima were killed in the course of the assault. The five other accused are Abeimel Ibrahim, Isah Kano, Yambali Umaru, Danga Wilfred and Sadeeq Ali Amitiga.
All the accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charges. An oral application for their bail by defence counsel was overruled by Justice Ademola Adeniyi who insisted it must be written. The Justice has fixed the case for hearing on May 26 and 27.
