30-year-old Man Ended His Life Over Unemployment In Abuja

 
A 30-year-old man identified as Chinedu Onyeneke, ended his life on Monday over unemployment. 
The incident took place at Dutsen Alhaji in Bwari Area Council, Abuja. After several attempts by the deceased to get a job failed, he decided to commit suicide by taking a substance suspected to rat poison. 
      According to a family member, the deceased had always tried to commit suicide each time he went out job hunting and came back without success but family members were always preventing him until that fateful day when he succeeded in ending his life.

His body was discovered inside the room by family members, along with the containers of rat poison.

Confirming the incident, the FCT Police Spokesperson, Deputy Superintendent Hyelhira Altine Daniel, the deceased committed suicide out of frustration, while also making an appeal to people to be patient.

"Committing suicide isn’t an option but staying alive with hope is the most important thing," she said.
