Jennifer Lopez Dead? Nope, Just Another Celebrity Death Hoax .

Embedded image permalink
Is Jennifer Lopez dead? No, the actress and singer might not have much going on in her career right now but she’s not dead. Lopez was born in Puerto Rico on July 24, 1969 as Jennifer Lynn Muniz, and has made a name for herself in the pop music industry as well as in film. After a minor role in My Little Girl, young Jennifer became interested in expanding her entertainment career, in spite of her parents. They didn’t believe entertainment could be a practical career path for a Hispanic woman. Continue..

They were very wrong. Jennifer Lopez has gone on to be one of the biggest pop music stars alongside Britney Spears and Madonna, becoming a beloved icon in the industry. She has recorded such hit albums as J. Lo and If You Had My Love, both featuring the corresponding title track. Her 2002 remix album J to tha L-O: The Remix Album debuted at number one on the charts. She broke into acting as a profession when she became a “fly girl” on the Wayans brothers’ sketch comedy series In Living Color.
After all of that success, rumors of Jennifer Lopez being dead are just sad for all of the wrong reasons.
Her most notable early roles in film included The Cell with Vincent D’Onofrio and Selena, the Selena Quintanilla-Perez biopic. Jennifer Lopez was the first Latina actress to earn over $1 million for a movie role.
Saturday night’s GLAAD Awards featured the actress and singer opening up about her gay aunt, as previously reported by The Inquisitr. Oddly, it was about that time that a trend had begun on Facebook with a page called R.I.P. Jennifer Lopez, and the rumor had run rampant over the weekend. The celebrity death hoax even spread to Twitter today, somehow ignoring the pop star’s appearance at Saturday’s award show.
Jennifer Lopez, not dead, even posted a picture of herself on Twitter not even a day ago, firmly dispelling the celebrity death hoax. Being one of the few Hispanic pop stars to make it to the top, much like her younger peer Christina Aguilera, Lopez defied the odds and became what her parents said she couldn’t be. Jennifer Lopez is a beloved and successful actress and singer, and still very much alive.
What do you think about the rumors claiming Jennifer Lopez dead? Who do you think will be the next victim of a death hoax?
