Roma became the first team to win the opening 10 matches of the Italian League season when they beat Chievo 1-0 on Thursday.
Striker Marco Borriello scored his first goal of the season to help the Serie A leaders edge bottom-placed Chievo at home.
The Naples club now leads city rivals Napoli by five points with 24 goals and have conceded just once.
They have now surpassed Juventus’ record of nine opening wins achieved during the 2005-2006 season, when the Turin giants were stri*ped of their title and any other related honours for match-fixing.
